CHS Earns District, State, and National Choir Honors!

Winter concert is Thursday, 12/12!

Student Portraits of all district and state choir members

From Mr. Cooke:

Senior Elle Polifka made Virginia Senior Honors Choir sponsored by the Virginia Music Educators Association. This choir is open only to seniors across the commonwealth and is the highest level choir sponsored by VMEA.

Junior Jack Wielar successfully auditioned for the American Choral Director's Association National Honors Choir. This choir is made up of high school juniors and seniors from across the US. There were over 5000 applications for 300 positions! This event will take place in Dallas, Texas in late March.

By competitive audition, 21 Charlottesville HIgh School students earned positions in this year's All District Choir to be held in Culpeper in early February. This is the largest number of students CHS has ever sent to this event.

Last week, Charlottesville Singers & Knightengales performed for The UVA Hospital's annual Lights of Love event and The Grand Illumination of Charlottesville.

Our Winter Concert is Thursday, December 12 @ 7PM in the MLKPAC. Admission is free and open to the public.
