A Note from Dr. Malone

Dear Black Knights,

This week's update includes a critical reminder about our upcoming testing schedule and its impact on our school schedule.

AP Testing Update
An AP Testing schedule update was shared directly with AP testers and families this past week. A link to the post is here. Please review it thoroughly.

3-Hour Delay Start Schedule:
On the following dates, testing students will report on time, and all other students will report by 12 p.m.
  • May 6th: ODD BLOCK
  • May 7th: EVEN BLOCK
  • May 13th: ODD BLOCK
  • May 14th: EVEN BLOCK

This week, we also celebrate our CHS staff during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.
The PTO is still looking for a few more items for the potluck breakfast on Thursday, 5/7.  Please see the sign-up genius for more details.

As I shared last week, the challenges of being a teacher lead nearly 15% of educators to leave the job or profession each year, and the attrition rate approaches 35% for new teachers. This work is hard, and you will hear me say time and again that the teachers at CHS are among the very best anywhere.

Families—join us in small or big ways in celebrating our staff. You are encouraged to share a note or word of appreciation (CHS website staff directory.), volunteer for the potluck breakfast, or help make sure your students get here on time (or a few minutes early)!

Only a few days are left until the school year ends, and every one of them counts!
It starts with showing up, giving our best, and believing in one another!

As always...We are the Black Knight Nation!
